She was my friend, my partner in unexpected adventures and to some my sister from another mother. I miss her so and would want those conversations to get through this darkness. I was the emotional one, she the logical stoic German. But still mostly thought alike. I’d love to know what she thinks. And if she can get us sponsored in Canada😉

Thank you for sharing your mom's life with us. She sounds like a wonderful mom who overcame so very much. Plus, she raised a kick-a$$ daughter! I appreciate your down-to-earth writing and how you tell it like it is. Thank you for everything!

I love so much about this post, from surviving fascism to ranch as comfort dressing. But, my new favorite thing is GMST. . . I'm joining you there. Missing your mom through you and for you sister. xoxo

Behind on reading this post, but don’t delete til I read. I lost my mom in 2005, I didn’t think I would survive, therapy for 6 months prior. Never a day goes by……I love your sharing your relationship with your mom, very special.

How do you feel about salad bar bacon? It’s not crisp but a step up from Baco’s.
